Do the right thing because it is right. - W. Clement Stone I agree with these magic keys because they are all positive and lead you to the right path. 

Student Success Statement  "Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself." - Henry Ward Beecher  I think what this statement means is to never achieve what people expect you to, but to pass over that and not for them but for you. It's your choice to either do good and over achieve or to do wrong and stay where you are and possibly go lower. I also think making excuses is not a valid reason for you not to do the right things. I say this because clearly you have to think about the bad decision and physically do it therefore making excuses is not forgivable. 

Student Success Statement  "He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."- Proverbs 13:20 I agree with this statement. I say this because I've been in many situations like this. Many of us act the same way as some of our friends because we hangout with them too much. Sooner or later we also start doing the same things as them. That's why it's important for you to choose the right group to be involved with. 

My Thanksgiving Week  My thanksgiving week was really boring. I didn't do much other than do my homework and do the chores around the house. My parents and brother were all working during the day so I wasn't able to go to the mall or anywhere else. Although after I would complete my chores I would watch Netflix. During the week I watched many horror movies and my favorite TV show, Jane the virgin. I used to not be into horror movies but my best friend got me into them. Another thing I did during my break was face time my friends, although the only one I truly enjoyed were my best friends calls. I really enjoy face timing him because he always makes me laugh and I just enjoy his company. Although, now that my break is over I regret not going out with my friends, I'm sure my week would've been better if I did. On Thanksgiving day it was not the best. My family didn't really do anything. I don't really enjoy the holiday's anymore because my family is bro...

Student Success Statement  "Right is right, even if everyone is against it; and wrong is wrong, even if everyone is for it." - William Penn This statement is very true. I say this because many people try and follow other people even though what they're doing is totally wrong. I think many people choose to do the wrong thing to be a tag along and don't want to disappoint their friends, or whatever the case is. One example might be wearing uniform to school. Ultimately the right thing to is to wear uniform no matter if you like it or not. But others don't wear it which encourages others to do the same. And this statement should teach us to do what we believe is right and not to please others. 

Thanksgiving Day Thanksgiving was originally a day the Pilgrims shared a feast to the natives thanking them for teaching them how to harvest. This started on the November of 1621. Although it wasn't until 1863 that President Lincoln declared it a national holiday all across the US. Now Thanksgiving is typically just for all your friends and family to gather around, eat a meal and appreciate each other's presence. Thanksgiving always falls on the last Thursday of November.  Some of the things i'm thankful for is my family. Life would not be the same without them. The next is my best friend, he's really the best and my life has been so much better after i met him. 

Student Success Statement  "Don't sacrifice what you want most  for what you want now. Write down what you want and see it often." -Peter Vidmar  This statement i think is very true. I say this because many of us have big goals and want to achieve them no matter what . Although sometimes little things get in the way and we don't believe in ourselves no more. That's why i think this statement should be followed if you are wanting to achieve a long term goal. This statement should motivate you to not let the little things get in the way. 

Student Success Statement  " A good name is better than anything you can achieve in this life." - Coach K  Mike Krzyzewski 

Veteran's Day Veteran's day is a day we have to honor all the people who have served in the United States Armed Forces. In other words we pay our respects towards the people who fought and those who died for our country.  Veteran's Day always falls on the 11th of November. The reason is because world war 1 ended it's hostilities on the 11th hour on the 11th day and also on the 11th month. Therefore it is always on November 11th. I think it's important to show honor for the veteran's because they did so much for us and or country. I believe the least we can do is show respect and thank them.  Reflection: I think growing up i wasn't really educated about veteran's day by my parents because none of my family members are apart from the military. But now i think it's important to show honor for veteran's day even if none of your family members are involved in it. I say this because over 37 million people died in just WW1. Student Success Statement  " A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches." I think i can agree with this statement because i think being a good person and having positive things said about you is more important than money. I say this because money gives you happiness but not on the long term, meanwhile you knowing you're a good person brings you joy and with no regrets towards anything. 

Student Success Statement "If your so called friends urge you to do anything you know to be wrong, you be the one to make a stand for right, even if you stand alone. Have the moral courage to be a light for others to follow." - Thomas S. Monson I surely do agree with this statement. I think that many people claim to be your friend but only are when it's beneficial to them. I think as we get older we start to realize not everyone is truly our friends. Some wish bad upon us, some talk bad about us and others pressure us to do things we don't want to do. For example doing drugs, if they were truly your friend they wouldn't even get you involved with drugs but in other cases they pressure and convince you to do the drug. That's why i can agree on this statement because it's important to do you and to stand up for what you believe in.
